Hello Abroad
Maxime enjoying an aperitif in Spain
Hi, I’m Maxime

I have called Spain home since 2009.

I know how beautiful a life here can be — and how bewildering the practical side can feel at the beginning.

I have been through it too.

Over the years, I have navigated the systems, paperwork and everyday questions that come with making a life in Spain. I have also helped friends and people around me do the same: preparing for appointments, understanding what is being asked of them, translating the confusing bits and finding their way forward.

A person, not a portal.

Hello Abroad is a friendly bridge between curiosity and confidence: travel planning that goes beyond a standard itinerary, and practical support that makes the admin feel manageable.

Whether you are planning a beautiful escape or taking your first real steps towards living here, you get a real person who understands both sides of the journey.

Kind words
“Feeling confident that everything would be handled meant a lot to me, and that’s exactly how I felt working with Hello Abroad. I felt comfortable with Maxime right away — she was friendly, professional, and put me at ease from our first conversation. Her fluency in English and Spanish, paired with her excellent organizational skills, took what could have been a stressful process and made it simple. What I got wasn’t just a completed visa application — it was a warm welcome into the community and a genuine new friendship.”

“I really wanted an easy experience. Moving abroad is hard enough as it is, and I didn’t want to translate everything, work through paperwork or go in blind with professionals. It was much easier this way, and I never felt lost. I didn’t have to worry about the process and could simply enjoy my life.”

“Moving to a new country can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming when you don’t know how things work or even where to begin. When I moved to Spain, that was exactly where I found myself. I didn’t know where to go to set up internet and phone service, how to open a bank account, or how to handle many of the everyday things that suddenly become complicated when you’re in a new country.

Then I met Maxime.

Maxime was instrumental in helping me get settled and make Spain feel like home. She helped me navigate everything from setting up my phone and internet to opening my bank account and obtaining my NIE. But what really stood out was that her help went far beyond the paperwork. She helped me figure out things as simple as ordering from Amazon and even helped me decorate and get my home set up.

Having someone who knew how things worked and was willing to guide me through the process made a tremendous difference. Instead of having to figure everything out through trial and error, I had someone I could trust and turn to when I had questions.

I’m genuinely grateful for everything Maxime did to make my transition to life in Spain easier. For anyone relocating to Spain who wants someone knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful in their corner, I would highly recommend Maxime.”
